Dominique Alarcon won the Prestige Builders Group Scholar Athlete Award presented by Hialeah Department of Recreation and Community Affairs. With her are her mother, Ileana Aquilera, and Jeffrey Lagomacini, a Prestige Builders company representative. In addition to a plaque, Dominique received a $250 U.S. Savings Bond.
